Students at Harold T. Barrett Junior High School will be going on a field trip to the Emera Oval in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Monday January 25th and Tuesday January 26th, 2016. Students are required to wear a CSA approved helmet and encourage to ring their own skates. If students do not have either, they are available to borrow, however please be advised that there is a limited quantity. No prior experience is required to attend the trip and skating aids are available to assist new skaters. 

As this is an outdoor activity, please dress for the weather. Layered clothing, winter jackets, and glove or mitts are strongly recommended. Students are also encouraged to bring a snack and water. There are on-site services; however line ups can be long. 

Students will be travelling by bus from Harold T. Barrett to the Emera Oval. The bus will be departing the school at 9:15 am and will return at approximatelly 12:00 pm. Permission slips for the field trio at to be returned to the school on Thursday January 21st, 2016. Note: Grade seven students will travel to the Emera Oval on Monday Jnauary 25th, 2016 and Grade Eight students will visit the Emera Oval on Tuesday January 26th, 2016.
